Counselors' Page

Middle school students are characterized by rapid physical growth, curiosity about their world and the desire to develop their self-identity. Through the school counseling program, counselors work along side school personnel, parents, and the community to create a caring, supportive climate and atmosphere whereby young adolescents can achieve academic success. School counselors focus on three main areas: Social-Emotional, Academic, and College/Career.

The Allentown School District’s Counseling Program, in accordance with the American School Counselor Association’s National Standards, promotes and enhances student learning through the three broad and interrelated areas of student development, which are: academic development, career development, and personal/social development.
