Raub Middle School was named in honor of Francis D. Raub, superintendent of schools inAllentown from 1893-1916, and first opened in 1925. The Governor of Pennsylvania, Edward Rendell, made an appearance at Raub in September 2004 to commend the students and staff on their significant increase in test scores on the PA System of State Assessment.
